( A little bit about Rick Rypien )
Rick Rypien was one of the greatest guys that anyone would have ever gotten the chance to meet and I know that many that had the pleasure of knowing him will never forget him any time soon. Even if you didn't read that I ask you check out http://www.mindcheck.ca and lend your voice to the fight to heighten awareness for mental illness. Rick battled in silence for many years before finally confiding in Kevin Bieksa and Kev was able to get him the help he needed but some people don't have that opportunity. As a team the Canucks have vowed to carry on Rick's legacy and we are playing this season in his memory.
Rick my brother I know you're up there probably getting the last laugh about all of this the ultimate practical joker you always were but we'll never forget you and I promise you we will help make it so maybe it's a little easier for others dealing with what you went through. |

Headed into the all star break with a win HELL YES!! Took a....6 shot per team shootout before we finally beat them 2-1 for a 3-2 win! Just landed in San Antonio and headed toward baggage claim to meet my ride. It's good to be back in Texas and warmer weather for a bit. |
